EDD Building Services were appointed by Gentoo to carry out a comprehensive damp proofing and refurbishment scheme across two occupied semi-detached houses in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
The programme involved removing and replacing defective ground floor slabs, installing a new damp proof membrane (DPM), re-plastering, fitting a new kitchen, external drainage and paving works, flooring installation, and full redecoration.
As the properties remained occupied throughout, the works required careful site management and strong resident communication to minimise disruption, maintain safety, and ensure smooth delivery of multiple trades.
